The artist’s Public Relations Officer, Sammy Atuobi Baah aka Sammy Flex, posted on social media that the negative publicity is affecting business dealings in the Shatta Movement camp, and has directly led to the distribution deal’s collapse
The seized car, a Lamborghini Urus, was tied to a U.S.-based fraud case of a stolen car involving Nana Kwabena Amuah, who is serving an 86-month prison sentence and faces a $4.7 million restitution order.
The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), working jointly with the FBI, seized the car from Shatta Wale’s residence as part of an operation of asset recovery. This has led to widespread media attention and headlines.
Shatta Wale has, however, publicly defended his reputation, claiming he purchased the Lamborghini Urus for $150,000 in a genuine and legitimate process, and was unaware of its stolen status.
Shatta Wale expressed frustration with EOCO CEO, Raymond Archer, accusing him of mishandling the situation and using intimidation during the raid at his residence.
The dancehall artiste argued that the raid and media attention have tarnished his image.
Sammy Flex has reacted to the saga, making it known that the brouhaha from the situation unfairly impacted Shatta Wale’s business moves.
He wrote:
“Damn! Now these reports circulating online are disturbing business after the 2million dollar distribution deal of the Voice of the Crown EP fell out. I am getting worried, Chaley!!!.”
“Say no more, Boss, Epain we all but God deh…Stay strong #GODISHERE #VOTCEP will still fly no matter what Man go do ”

This might help him weather the storm and come out stronger. However, only time will tell how this affects Shatta Wale's career and business ventures."

Shatta Wale replaces seized Lamborghini amid controversy
Previously, YEN.com.gh Shatta Wale has reacted to EOCO’s seizure of his yellow 2019 Lamborghini Urus, following FBI directives. In a TikTok Live on August 5, 2025, he said he bought the car for $150,000 without knowing it was tied to crimes in the US.
The ‘On God’ hitmaker said money and possessions mean little to God, explaining that buying another Lamborghini shows such things are replaceable.
Shatta Wale, a father of two, stressed he had no interest in the seized car and urged authorities to take it back to the US. His outburst came shortly after EOCO confirmed the seizure in a press release.
