Ghanaian celebrity Andrea Owusu, aka Efia Odo, has stoked a frenzy after her moments at the late Daddy Lumba's residence surfaced on social media.

On August 1, 2025, the renowned socialite and TV show host joined scores of relatives and celebrities at Daddy Lumba's house in East Legon to commiserate with the bereaved family and sign the book of condolence.
Efia arrived at the late singer's house clad in a black outfit, accompanied by social media influencer @1DapperJayden.
As she made her way to the residence, a blogger asked Efia Odo what she had to say about Daddy Lumba. The socialite replied, saying, "My father is dead."

Efia Odo has acknowledged the late singer as her father several times, stoking the rumours that she was biologically related to him.
After Daddy Lumba's death, Efia Odo shared a heartfelt tribute on social media, saying,
"Daddy Lumba lives forever. This is how he wants to be remembered. Daddy Lumba’s music brought joy into our lives. His lyrics touched us in places hands could never touch. He’s not gone, but He lives through the music."
While some netizens weighed in on Efia Odo's love for Daddy Lumba, others couldn't help but criticise her choice of outfit. Her critics felt the little black dress was too revealing.
Efia Odo denies ties to Daddy Lumba
Efia Odo's comment about Daddy Lumba comes after widespread rumours that she was one of Daddy Lumba's children.
The rumours went viral after Kennedy Agyapong’s baby mama, Moira Araba Dawson-Williams, accused Daddy Lumba of allegedly neglecting Efia Odo. Moira’s criticism followed the resurfacing of an old video in which Efia Odo affectionately referred to the music legend as her “dad.”

According to Efia Odo, her acknowledgement of Daddy Lumba as her father was only metaphorical.
In a video published after Daddy Lumba's demise, Efia Odo said she only meant to express admiration for a man she sees as a national father figure rather than suggesting any blood relation.
"So I was gonna totally ignore this, but it's becoming too much. No, I am not Daddy Lumba's biological daughter. Actually, Daddy Lumba is everybody's daddy."
Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, passed away on Saturday, July 26, at the Bank Hospital in Accra. The 60-year-old highlife musician was ill for a short period before his demise.
The Ankwanoma hitmaker was married to his second wife, whom he affectionately referred to as Odo Broni.
He is survived by seven children, four with his first wife, Akosua Serwaa, who lives abroad and three with Odo Broni.

The politician was seen consoling Odo Broni, who couldn't hide her tears after the death of her husband.
