According to Efia Odo, her acknowledgement of Daddy Lumba as her father was only metaphorical.

In a video published after Daddy Lumba's demise, Efia Odo said she only meant to express admiration for a man she sees as a national father figure rather than suggesting any blood relation.

"So I was gonna totally ignore this, but it's becoming too much. No, I am not Daddy Lumba's biological daughter. Actually, Daddy Lumba is everybody's daddy."

Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, passed away on Saturday, July 26, at the Bank Hospital in Accra. The 60-year-old highlife musician was ill for a short period before his demise.

The Ankwanoma hitmaker was married to his second wife, whom he affectionately referred to as Odo Broni.

He is survived by seven children, four with his first wife, Akosua Serwaa, who lives abroad and three with Odo Broni.
