The much-anticipated movie, whose production began earlier this year, has finally been released.

Before the film was cleared for screening, there were many controversies surrounding it, the most recent being the candlelight vigil held for the late Daddy Lumba, which clashed with the movie premiere date.

This made Lil Win hesitant about whether the event would affect the turnout of his premiere. He subsequently expressed his dissatisfaction with the organisers of the vigil.

However, Lil Win's movie premiere was held successfully, with thousands showing up for the event.

The venue was packed, with people even struggling to find a place to sit.

Lil Win has once again proven his impact in Kumawood with the grand premiere of his latest film, Captain Ibrahim Traore: The Last African Hero.

The movie serves as a powerful tribute to African unity, leadership, and resistance against neo-colonialism.

It honours Burkina Faso’s interim President, Ibrahim Traore, who has been in office since 2022.

According to Lil Win, he took on the role of Captain Ibrahim Traore because he sees him as a symbol of bravery and independence.

The movie allowed him to step outside his usual comic roles and take on something more relevant and meaningful.
