The founder and leader of the Heaven Way Champions Church was jailed after being convicted of fraud and charlatanic advertisement.
After her sentence, reports emerged that the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) was investigating her church.
The reports alleged that Agradaa's church could be closed if it were found to have engaged in improper financial dealings.
Angel Asiamah seeks mercy for Nana Agradaa
Speaking to his congregation on Sunday, August 3, 2025, Angel Asiamah relayed a message he received from his wife during a recent trip to Nsawam.

He said Nana Agradaa had told him to apologise to three individuals on her behalf for any wrong she might have done against them.
Asiamah named the individuals as President John Dramani Mahama, Vice-President Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Gold Board, Sammy Gyamfi.

NDC activist threatens demolition of Agradaa’s church
Following Asiamah’s plea to the three individuals, NDC activist Samsonwaa Daya, who is based in Switzerland, warned Nana Agradaa’s husband to stop speaking about the President and Gyamfi.
According to her, none of those individuals has anything to do with the controversial evangelist's imprisonment.

Samsonwaa said she expected Agradaa's husband to exercise better judgement, but he has turned out to be just like his wife.
She called on Nana Agradaa to find ways to return the gold and money she allegedly stole from her 'sika gari' victims instead of begging for mercy.

She warned Asiamah that the next time he spoke about the President or Sammy Gyamfi, ‘party boys’ would demolish the Heaven Way Church.

Speaking to YEN.com.gh, blogger Chris Osei Kofi said if serious wrongdoing is proven to be going on within the church, closing it down should not be an issue if done via the right legal channels.
"Nana Agradaa's current legal battles and imprisonment bring to the fore a lot of issues, but I believe that one that is key is deception. I feel that once the church was founded on the basics of all this deception and lies, its closure is not a wrong call at all, especially if state agencies are able to establish that some wrong was done, they can act swiftly." he said.

Nana Agradaa leads congregation in prison
Previously, YEN.com.gh reported that Nana Agradaa established a branch of her church at Nsawam Prison.
The controversial preacher has been jailed for 15 years in the women's facility after being convicted of fraud.
While in jail, Agradaa has continued her ministry, reportedly preaching to inmates to help win souls for Christ.
