Ghanaian celebrity stylist and fashionista, Akosua Vee, has stirred sadness on social media after announcing the loss of her brother, Emmanuel.

Akosua Vee, born Violet Bannerman Quaye, took to Facebook late on Sunday, August 24, 2025, to announce the tragedy in her family.

She lamented the sad death but expressed her trust in God’s decision to call her brother to eternal glory, writing:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I am choosing to lay at your feet with this deep wound. May your peace fill my heart today and tomorrow. I am surrendering everything to You. Yaweh, you know best😭💔. RIP MY DEAREST TWIN, Emmanuel Bannerman Quaye.”

A Plus reacts to brother-in-law's death

Akosua Vee’s husband, the Gomoa Central Member of Parliament, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, also lamented the tragic death of his brother-in-law.

In a post shared to Facebook on Monday, he sent a message to his wife's late sibling.

“Sleep well brother, Emmanuel Bannerman Quaye,” he shared.

Kwame A Plus and Akosua Vee are one of the more successful celebrity couples of the last decade, and recently celebrated eight years of marriage and 11 years of friendship.
