Captain Smart slams EOCO's Shatta Wale arrest
On the Tuesday, August 26 episode of his morning show, Onua Maakye, Captain Smart blasted the EOCO boss over his decision to arrest Shatta Wale.
He described Wale’s arrest as ‘senseless’ and said the controversial musician was only a victim of circumstances.
“What was the sense in the arrest of Shatta Wale? How can you arrest a prosecution witness and treat the person like a suspect? Are we not crazy? If Shatta Wale has committed a crime, let's deal with it. But if you read and listen to the entire information out there, what was the sense in his arrest?” he queried.
Captain Smart added that the FBI were already aware of the car being in Wale’s possession yet never arrested him because Wale is not guilty of any crime.
“In the circumstance of the purchase of the vehicle, Shatta Wale was a victim of that circumstance. So the FBI left him and only gave information to the local security, and as useless as we are, we went to arrest him.” he fumed.
