Louis Vuitton to launch new makeup line
In a landmark announcement made in March 2025, Louis Vuitton hinted at their imminent beauty launch, highlighting the involvement of Dame Patricia Ann McGrath DBE.
The legendary female British makeup artist has been named as the creative director for the collection.
Known for her innovation and artistic vision, McGrath was a fitting choice, particularly since she has spent over two decades working backstage at Louis Vuitton fashion shows.
Her deep understanding of the brand's aesthetic ensures that the beauty line aligns seamlessly with Louis Vuitton's luxurious heritage.
This collection has been designed with meticulous attention to detail, mirroring the intricate craftsmanship akin to Louis Vuitton's renowned trunk-making tradition, which has been enhanced by McGrath's unique touch.

Louis Vuitton lipstick costs GH¢1,800
The heart of the collection lay in the lipsticks, collectively known as LV Rouge. Each of the 55 shades pays homage to the brand’s initials and the Roman numeral they beautifully represent. Priced at $160 for both the case and refill, subsequent refills are available for $69 each.
Uniquely, both the lipsticks and balms are imbued with signature scents crafted by Louis Vuitton’s master perfumer, Jacques Cavallier Belletrud.
The lipsticks featured a luxurious aroma that blends notes of mimosa, jasmine, and rose, creating an enchanting experience, while the balms are delicately scented with raspberry and mint.
