Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, the Presidential Envoy for Inter-Faith and Ecumenical Relations, has backtracked on his call for all prophets to share any prophecy about Ghana and top government officials with his office.
He said Ghanaian spiritual leaders must desist from sharing only doom prophecies and rather share on issues that will transform the country.

In an interview with GhOne TV, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah said prophecies must inspire nation-building and development instead of causing fear.
“I’m praying for the day our prophets and seers will have visions of a Ghana that is transformed and prosperous. If you have any prophecy about Ghana becoming like Malaysia, Singapore or South Korea, then come see me. Enough of the death prophecies, my office isn’t for receiving prophecies.”
Elvis Afriyie Ankrah’s comments come after he directed earlier that all spiritual leaders should submit their prophecies regarding high-profile government officials and the state to his office for scrutiny.
He, however, indicated that since the directive was made public, 80% of prophecies he had received lack substance or revolve around death, doom, or disaster.

“You asked for prophecies after a tragic helicopter accident that traumatised a nation. Apparently, it was your expectation that the prophecies would be about Ghana becoming like Malaysia or Singapore? You should have asked when Dr. "up to no good" Ato Forson read the budget.”
