Daddy Lumba's former school teacher, Mama Acheampong, has opened up on how a top female media personality approached her with a plea to convince the music legend to marry her.

Speaking in an interview on Atinka FM, she noted that many women drooled over Daddy Lumba because he was handsome and wished to be his wife.

However, Daddy Lumba remained faithful to only his wife, Akosua Serwaa, whom he had married for many years, until Odo Broni came into the picture.

Mama Acheampong noted that the top female media personality was desperate and begged to be his wife, even if their marriage lasted a year.

"There were so many women who wanted him. One top media personality approached me with a plea to convince Lumba to marry me. She said 'Mama tell your son to marry me, even if its for just a year and we divorce, I'll be happy," Mama Acheampong said in the interview.

Mama Acheampong, however, did not name the said top female celebrity in the interview on Atinka FM.

Mama Acheampong says Daddy Lumba was not promiscuous

During her interaction with Saddick Adams, Mama Acheampong opened up about Daddy Lumba's temperament. He dispelled rumours that the music legend was promiscuous during his youthful days.

"He wasn't promiscuous at all. His case was the other way round, women rather chased him. He was a very sober boy," she added.

Ghanaians are mourning the demise of Charles Kwadwo Fosu, a legend in the music industry. He sadly passed away on July 26, 2025, at the Bank Hospital after a brief illness. Lumba was 60 years old. He left behind two wives, Akosua Serwaa and Odo Broni.

Following his demise, Mama Acheampong has clarified what happened between Daddy Lumba and Theresa Abebrese and how their relationship ended.

Daddy Lumba's former teacher and godmother explained how his love story with Theresa Abebrese came to an end.
