In an interview with Joy News, he mentioned that the weather was extremely bad that morning due to thick fog.

He stated that planes often flew in that area and recounted an incident years ago where a plane was forced to make an emergency landing due to the bad weather.

Farmer recounts moment before plane crash

A farmer, Kobiba Musah, who also saw the plane moments before it crashed, described what he witnessed.

He indicated that the helicopter was flying very low, a situation which surprised him and others.

Shortly after, he said he heard a loud blast, and he and others ran toward the sound of the blast, only to realise the helicopter had crashed.

The eyewitness admitted that he had never seen any tragic incident like that.

At the time of writing the report, the video had generated a lot of reactions on social media.

Ghanaians react to plane crash

Social media users who reacted to the news have expressed pain over the loss of the two cabinet ministers, high-ranking officers, and military personnel aboard the flight.

Courage Worlako Ansah commented:

"What a sad day for Ghanaian. It is tragedy. God have mercy and accept the souls of the departed. Comfort the family, Ghana and the NDC for this painful loss."
