The chilling last words of Ghanaian air force officer, Sergeant Ernest Nii Addo Mensah, have resurfaced after his death.

Eight people, including two ministers of state and other security officials, were killed in a helicopter crash in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
The group was headed to Obuasi for a security conference on tackling the scourge of illegal mining, also known as galamsey, when the crash occurred in the Sikaman forest.
Five civilians and three military officers died in the crash, including the Minister for Defence, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, and the Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed.

Other victims included Deputy National Security Coordinator Limuna Muniru, former Ashanti Regional Minister Dr Samuel Sarpong, and former legislator Samuel Aboagye.
The armed forces personnel involved in the crash were identified as Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manin Twum-Ampadu and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.
The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, announced the deaths of Addo Mensah and the seven others with a directive that all flags must fly at half mast to honour the victims.

Officer's last words surface after helicopter crash
Sergeant Addo Mensah and his two deceased comrades were officers of the Ghana Armed Forces stationed at the Takoradi Air Force base.
According to reports, the Air Force sergeant had recently married in a beautiful ceremony, videos of which have now resurfaced on social media.
The videos showed the airman and his bride exchanging vows before a man of God, who officiated their marriage ceremony.
Hours before the fateful trip that took his life, Addo Mensah shared a chilling update on his WhatsApp status that ended up being his last public post.
In the message, he reposted a quote from a man of God, Evangelist Mike Bamiloye, speaking about the urgency of settling all grudges because of life’s fleeting nature.
Social media users have shared varying opinions on the message, with some claiming it was an indication that Addo Mensah was aware of his impending doom.

Prophet warned Omane Boamah of crash
Previously, YEN.com.gh reported that Edward Omane Boamah was warned by a prophet about an impending tragedy.
Prophet Roja, in a video shared a day before the Obuasi crash, asked for anyone close to the Defence Minister to contact him.
The video of his prophecy surfaced after the tragedy, with many Ghanaians describing it as proof that his vision was true.
