The woman, who had strong ties with the late Defence Minister, was seen visibly grieving at the residence of the family on August 6, 2025.

Nana Krobea Asantewaa I, a respected figure in the Eastern Region, arrived at Dr Boamah's family home to offer her condolences.

Dressed in a normal outfit, she appeared overwhelmed by emotion as she paid her respects.

She could not hold back her tears as she joined family members in mourning the untimely loss of a man who was not just a public servant, but also a cherished son of Ghana.

Queen mother begs journalists to leave her

During her visit, the Koforidua Effiduase Queen Mother was approached by journalists who sought to interview her for coverage.

However, visibly shaken by the loss, Nana Krobea Asantewaa I gently requested that she not be interviewed, saying, 'Please, not today. I cannot speak'.

She did allude to the last conversation she had with Dr Omane Boamah, lamenting that he did not bid her farewell before his departure.
