A touching video of Sergeant Ernest Nii Addo Mensah, who was among those who lost their lives in the tragic helicopter crash on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, has left many people heartbroken.
The video, posted on the TikTok page of @aliciakiys on Saturday, August 9, 2025, showed the late military officer looking cheerful as he introduced himself in what appeared as a short documentary.

Sergeant Mensah then went on to introduce his other colleagues in what appeared like a workshop session at a maintenance aviation bay.
The video, which served as a tribute to the late officer of the Ghana Armed Forces, was captioned:

Details of the helicopter crash
Ghanaians were thrown into mourning after eight people were killed in a helicopter crash in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
The group was en route from Accra to Obuasi for the launch of the Responsible Cooperative Mining and Skills Development Programme (rCOMSDEP).
The passengers included Ghana's Defence Minister, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Minister of Environment, Science and Technology, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Deputy National Security Coordinator, Limuna Muniru, Former Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Samuel Sarpong, Former NDC Parliamentary candidate for Obuasi East, Samuel Aboagye
The other three Ghana Armed Forces crew members who died in the crash were Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manin Twum-Ampadu and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah
