The CEO of Special Group of Companies, Ernest Ofori Sarpong, has gained traction online after reports of him losing an individual believed to be his son went viral.
According to a recent report by Plus1TV, none of the renowned business mogul's biological children has died.

The late Michael Kwesi Ofori, who was confirmed dead on August 12, was a mentee of Ernest Ofori Sarpong.
According to Plus1TV's account, Michael Ofori's name and humility earned him unfettered access to Ernest Ofori Sarpong.
"The young man is not a child of Ofori Sarpong. No son of his has died. Ofori Sarpong took him as a godson because he was respectful and humble," the blogger claimed.

"The Ofori in their names drew the young man to Ofori Sarpong," he added.
The late Michael Ofori was fond of Ofori Sarpong and worked closely with him.
On social media, he shared images of himself and the business mogul at high-level business meetings with top global leaders.
In one social media post, he described Ernest Ofori Sarpong as his godfather, mentor, business partner, and main advisor.
Their last public appearance, as seen on social media, was in July when they called on the Canadian High Commissioner to Ghana, Myriam Montrat, to celebrate this year's Canada Day Celebrations.
Who is the late Michael Kwesi Ofori?
Michael Kwesi Ofori, the late godson of Ernest Ofori Sarpong, who died on August 12, 2025, was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Investors Hub, a consulting firm offering advisory services.
In 2023, the man, known as the General on social media, married Rita Ofori Acheampong, a relative of former Health Minister, Dr Richard Anane, in a wedding which went viral.

He was also in great standing with other top business moguls, including Osei Kwame Despite, the CEO of Despite Group of Companies.
Despite's son Kennedy Osei, who manages Despite Media Group, is among scores of business executives who have shared tributes mourning Michael Kwesi Ofori after his untimely demise.
