A video which has re-emerged on TikTok and was sighted by YEN.com.gh showed the heartwarming moment following Adelheid Babatz Nyarko's official induction into the Ghana Bar.

The video captured Adelheid, now deceased, leaving the Accra International Conference Centre when, suddenly, a young lady’s voice was heard saying, “Here comes the new lawyer.”

Adelheid's face lit up with smiles as she was cheered on by friends and family who came to support her on her big day.

Demise of Adelheid Babatz Nyarko London

News reports of the passing of Adelheid Babatz Nyarko went viral on Sunday, August 17, 2025.

The young lawyer is reported to have died after succumbing to a short illness.

Speaking in an interview on YFM three months ago, Adelheid recounted a health challenge which affected her academics while studying law, causing her to fail her initial exams.

“Because of the ups and downs and the stress, I had issues with my health. So I couldn’t pass part one,” Adelheid said in an interview with YFM Kumasi.

She started her law education in 2019 at the University of Ghana, Legon, while working part-time as a midwife.

Before her demise, Adelheid worked as a Senior Midwife Officer at St. Michael’s Catholic Hospital in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.
