A Ghanaian father of two based in the United Kingdom was found dead in heartbreaking fashion.

Samuel, a nurse at the Southend University Hospital, was discovered at his home on Monday, August 18, 2025.

He failed to turn up at work, leading colleagues to his home, where they found him deceased

The Ghanaian reportedly travelled to the United Kingdom for work and leaves behind a wife and two children.

Below is a TikTok video narrating what happened to Samuel.

Colleagues started a GoFundMe fundraiser to raise funds to send his body back to Ghana.

“Samuel came from Ghana to serve as a nurse at the Southend University hospital, dedicating his life to caring for others and bringing comfort to those in need. His kindness, smile, hard work, and warm spirit touched everyone who knew him. His untimely passing has left his family, friends, and colleagues heartbroken,” the fundraiser said.

“In line with his family’s wishes and cultural traditions, we are raising funds to repatriate Samuel’s body back to Ghana so that he may be laid to rest in his homeland.”

The GoFundMe has raised close to £10,000 out of a £25,000 goal.
