On Monday, August 11, 2025, the widow and some loved ones visited the wreath-laying site to honour the memory of her late husband.
A ceremony was recently held in front of the Jubilee House as part of a series of national mourning activities ahead of the state burial scheduled for August 15, 2025.
Many government officials, including the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, Communications Minister Sam George, YEA CEO Malik Basintale, NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and his Deputy, James Gyakye Quayson, attended the sombre event.
First Lady, Lordina Mahama also attended the ceremony with her children, Farida, Sharaf, and Shafik, to mourn and pay her respects to the victims of the tragic incident.
Peter Anala's wife weeps at flower-laying site
In a video seen by YEN.com.gh, Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala's widow looked sad and devoid of any positive emotions as she arrived at the flower-laying site in front of the Jubilee House in Accra.
The late military officer's widow held a bouquet and broke down in tears as she mourned her husband's demise with her family members.
Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala's widow had to be consoled by another unidentified woman as she got overwhelmed with emotions while at the site in what was a heartbroken moment for her and her family.

Peter's brother speaks about his widow's condition
In an interview with Channel One TV on Thursday, August 7, 2025, Peter Bafemi Anala's brother, Marshall Anala, recounted how the Squadron Leader's demise had negatively impacted their family.

The military officer's brother also shared that the deceased's widow, based in the UK, was struggling to cope, especially given the circumstances of losing her husband while struggling to adjust to life as the mother of a new baby.
Marshall Anala also noted that his brother's widow had not been able to speak since she received the news of her husband's passing.
He also mentioned that his late brother had last visited his wife in June and was even planning a trip to the UK for his newborn's christening.
