John Dumelo Visits Church in His Constituency, Kneels for Prayers: “Blessings Go Dey Follow You”

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo, went on a church visitation in his constituency on Sunday, June 1, 2025.
He revisited some areas he previously travelled to in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency during his campaign for the 2024 general elections.

In a video on Instagram, Dumelo visited a Pentecost church in his constituency and was received warmly by the pastor and the congregants.
The video showed the pastor praying for the MP, who was in a kaftan and a hat and knelt with his hands wide open to receive the blessings.
The pastor put his hand on John Dumelo’s right shoulder. Another man, who could possibly be a junior pastor, put his hand on his other shoulder.

In the video, the pastor prayed for God to continue putting His hand upon Dumelo:
“That Lord, when he was asking for this, he came, and the church prayed for him. God, we want to thank you today that, Lord, he is no more a candidate but he has become the MP. Father, we commit him into your hands.”

John Dumelo and wife pray in church
YEN.com.gh reported that John Dumeli's wife, Gifty, attended church with the politician after he won the parliamentary elections in December 2024.
The actor emerged victorious in the race for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency seat, defeating NPP incumbent Lydia Seyram Alhassan.
His wife, Gifty, shared the post of the couple giving thanks, and many Ghanaians congratulated Dumelo in the comments section for winning the vote.
