"On July 1, 2025, during the senior citizens' programme, the President saw Daddy Lumba and felt that he was unwell. You know, the President had plans, but Daddy is very difficult to reach. I contacted him once, and he said he would get back, but the President wanted to take care of everything.
"He said, 'Oh, Lumba is not looking too good. I want to have another conversation with him and take care of him'. John Mahama is a very kind man. He genuinely wanted to help, but Lumba was very private," A Plus said.

"I contacted him twice. I believe others also reached out, and I think he wanted to prepare himself before meeting the old man (the President). The old man actually informed people to take care of Lumba, so I know that now that he has passed, he will continue to do a lot.
