Controversial New Patriotic Party (NPP)-aligned TikToker, Prince Ofori, popularly known as Fante Comedy, has responded after a pastor prophesied doom about him.

Fante Comedy rose to prominence in the Ghanaian political space in recent weeks after he was arrested for allegedly threatening the life of President John Dramani Mahama and his wife, First Lady Lordina Mahama.

A team of police officers and national security operatives arrested him along with Yayrah Abiwu, the NPP’s women’s organiser for North Tongu, on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

An Accra Circuit court granted Fante Comedy bail in the sum of GH¢100,000 with three sureties on August 13; however, he remained in custody until Monday, August 18, when he was released after successfully meeting all bail conditions.

Pastor prophesies doom for Fante Comedy

In a video seen by YEN.com.gh on Friday, August 22, 2025, the leader of House of Jacob Chapel International, Apostle Daniel Atta Gyebi, shared details of a troubling vision he claimed to have seen about Fante Comedy.

He said the young political commentator should see any man of God for prayers because his life was in imminent danger.

"Tell the guy called Fante Comedy to go and seek prayers from any pastor he knows, or else he will die in his room. I am talking about the guy who was recently released after being arrested." he said.

He also shared details of the actions he needed to take to preserve his life and asked him to act quickly because he only had a few days more to live.

Fante Comedy responds to doom prophecy

In a TikTok video seen by YEN.com.gh on Wednesday, August 27, Fante Comedy shared his response to the prophecy.

He said he became scared for his life after hearing Pastor Gyebi’s words and planned to go and see him in a few days.

Fante Comedy said he had already followed some of the instructions given by the man of God and hoped meeting him would bring a favourable outcome.
