Garnacho is currently one of four senior Manchester United players who have been exiled from the main squad, training separately at Carrington.

This comes after Marcus Rashford secured a season-long loan move to Barcelona, leaving Garnacho behind with fellow outcasts Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Tyrell Malacia.

While new boss Ruben Amorim leads the rest of the squad on their pre-season tour of the United States, Garnacho’s future remains in limbo.

Once viewed as a breakout star, the 21-year-old forward has struggled under Amorim’s tactical setup.

Despite scoring 11 goals last season, Garnacho has failed to secure a consistent role that plays to his strengths, leading to a drop in form.

Just 12 months ago, Garnacho's market value was estimated at around £70 million, but his stock has dropped significantly.

Mirror Football understands that Manchester United are now prepared to take a £30 million loss just to offload the winger.

Chelsea and Napoli have previously shown interest, but no formal offers have materialised, though that could soon change if the club’s asking price continues to fall.

Garnacho rejects Saudi move, chooses Europe

Despite being sidelined at Manchester United, Alejandro Garnacho recently turned down a lucrative offer from Al Nassr, signaling his strong preference to remain in top-tier European football.

While Saudi Arabia’s clubs continue to lure big names with eye-watering deals, the Argentine winger is more focused on legacy than money at this stage of his career.

His representatives have reportedly been in quiet talks with two Premier League sides and at least one Serie A club.

Garnacho’s camp believes that staying in a competitive European league will not only boost his development but also keep him in contention for Argentina’s senior national team call-ups.

His decision to stay in Europe reflects a clear ambition to prove himself at the highest level, rather than chase a quick payday. With his rebrand already sparking buzz, all eyes are now on which club will take a gamble on his undeniable talent.

Alejandro Garnacho changes name

While he waits for clarity on his future, Garnacho has rebranded himself on Instagram, now using the name “Alex Garnacho” on his official page.

According to GiveMeSport, his full birth name is Alejandro Garnacho Ferreyra, born on July 1, 2004.

The change has not been officially addressed by the player, but fans quickly took note of the alteration.

Interestingly, Garnacho’s father is also named Alex, and some supporters believe the name tweak is a nod to his Spanish heritage.

Others speculate that it’s a strategic move, possibly advised by his agency, Leader Sports Management, to make him more marketable, especially to English-speaking clubs.

Despite the rebrand, Garnacho continues to wear “Garnacho” on the back of his jersey, and the name change is unlikely to affect his kit registration regardless of where he plays next.

Some fans have even joked that the Anglicised version of his name is purely to inflate his transfer value as negotiations for a new club loom.
