Djed Spence took to Instagram to reveal how he went head-to-head with Tottenham’s new signing, Mohammed Kudus, during training at Hotspur Way, making it clear there was only going to be one winner.
Kudus joined the Europa League holders from West Ham this summer in a deal reportedly worth £55 million. He scored 19 goals in 80 matches for the Hammers but struggled last season, contributing just 5 goals and 4 assists in all competitions.

Nevertheless, the Nima-born talent, who shone against PSG in the Super Cup, has quickly settled in with his new teammates at Tottenham and is already making a strong impression in a Spurs shirt.
According to Flashscore, he offered two assists in last Saturday’s 3-0 win over Burnley, signaling a bright start to his Tottenham career.
Djed Spence and Mohammed Kudus' partnership
While fans will be eager to watch the right-wing partnership between Kudus and Pedro Porro take shape, another potential link-up could be with Djed Spence, Tottenmham's left-back.
Spence and Kudus already seem to have struck up a strong friendship, recently going head-to-head in a one-on-one challenge at Hotspur Way, as featured by Spurs Web.
“If you get past me once, I’ll buy you dinner,” Spence told Kudus.
However, according to Spence’s Instagram story, Kudus tried to beat him 10 times during training— and failed every single time.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Kudus appears to have confirmed the story himself, responding to Spence’s Instagram post with a cheeky message: “My feet will do the talking soon.”
This isn’t the first time Spence has shown confidence in his defensive abilities. Last season, he boldly claimed he could shut down Mohamed Salah in a Carabao Cup clash.

Savinho to join Kudus and Richarlison
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a move for Manchester City winger Savinho, as they look to strengthen their attacking options.
Manager Thomas Frank is aiming to build a dynamic front line that would include Richarlison, the talented City wide man, and the Ghanaian maestro, who just matched a major milestone at Tottenham.
